This training is FULL – to be placed on a waitlist email info@bcenetwork.ca.
Customized Employment (CE) is a unique supported employment process designed to personalize the employment relationship between a job seeker and an employer in a way that meets the needs of both. CE can be effective when serving individuals that may present with more complex needs.
In this five-day, 35-hour course, students will be introduced to the five essential components of CE; Discovery, Job Search Planning, Job Development and Negotiation and Post-Placement Support. Through lecture, dialogue, sharing and interactive sessions with one another and potential employers, students will develop a range of competencies within these components that enable them, in collaboration with the job seeker, to find meaningful paid employment in the community. The student is encouraged to work through the activities with a specific client in mind. Also included is training in providing CE during COVID-19 pandemic.
